Ive been looking at these for quite some time, I am particularly interested in the file with the angle, as my guitar nuts set on the peg head, instead of the fretboard surface. Any feedback or options would be great. Id love the whole set if they were worth the cash! Nut Files |

Lance, I have several of these files, but I have had them quite a while, and I don't remember them costing this much at the time I bought them... Anyway, they work fine, but I'm sure there are others that work just as well, and possibly for lower cost. |

I think maybe if you are doing lots of repair work they might be handy. My guitars are all 3/16" nut width so I just use a 3/16" thick scrap of mahogany that I stick some sandpaper to. I don't need to sand much, just enough to clean it up and level it. |

Lance--I use the Martin angled file and find it works great. I machine most of the nut slot on a vertical mill to establish accurate sidewalls and then use the file to clean up the bottom. Just takes a few strokes and leaves a perfect seat. Nelson |

If they where nut slot files then yes, but you can just use a sander and some standard files to do that. Nothing special needed... Cheers -Paul- |

Lance, I have the set and they work very well. I do a lot of nut slot filing because of the BFTS work. So for me they were worth every dollar. |
